2017 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Oklahoma City OK
The 2017 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Oklahoma City OK will be held on March 18, 2017, the Saturday after the holiday (which is on a Friday this year). It will kick-off at 11 a.m. and should travel through downtown from Reno and Hudson to the Bricktown Ballpark. With thousands of attendees and dozens of floats, this can be a great time for everyone. Music, beverages and authentic Irish step dancing are just a few of the exciting options that should be available at the parade. Learn more here.
28th Annual Bricktown St. Patrick’s Day Block Party
If you want to celebrate (adult-style) on St. Patrick’s Day, the Bricktown St. Patrick’s Day Block Party is one of the best spots. Historically, this free event has offered live music from 3 p.m. until late in the evening. We assume it will be on Friday, March 17, though official information is not yet available. Held on Oklahoma Avenue at the Bricktown Canal, this Block Party will feature food from several top quality food trucks. Last year there were also free beer samples from 3 to 5 p.m.
O’Connell’s Irish Pub and Grille
Of course if you want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at a good old fashioned pub, maybe a visit to O’Connell’s in Norman OK is the way to go. They will be offering a variety of St. Patrick’s Day programming, including a the Annual St. Pat’s 8k Run on Saturday, March 11 (to benefit the Special Olympics of Oklahoma) and their 49th Annual St. Pat’s Party, which will start at 7 a.m. on Friday, March 17 and presumably just keep going!
