2022 Honda Civic Offers Two Engine Options
Shoppers will have a choice between two different engine options for the 2022 Honda Civic depending on the model trim level. A naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine powers the 2022 Civic LX and Sport trim levels, producing 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. With the help of the new standard idle-stop system, the fuel efficiency of these Civic models has improved over the efficiency of the outgoing models.
Honda Civic EX and Touring models come fitted with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine beneath their hoods that produce up to 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. This turbocharged powerplant offers an upgrade of 6 horsepower over last year’s model.
Additionally, the Honda Civic sedan’s suspension has been retuned and updated for a smoother and sportier ride. The Civic has an additional 1.4 inches of wheelbase for 2022 and the rear track is half an inch wider for more stability on the road. These updates make for a more responsive and energized performance around Oklahoma City.
